Descriptions of adults and nymphs of the taro planthopper, Tarophagus proserpina taiwanensis ssp. n., from Taiwan (Homoptera: Delphacidae).

Abstract

A new subspecies, Tarophagus proserpina taiwanensis subsp. nov., is described by the first author from taro in Taiwan. Male and female genitalia and 1st-5th-instar nymphs are described and illustrated. A key is provided to the nymphal instars.
