Bird trematodes of Lower Silesia. II. Intestinal trematodes of Gavia stellata.
Ten species (779 specimens) of trematodes were recovered from a G. stellata found dead in the Jeleniogóska area in 1977, including Diplostomum gavium and Pygidiopsis genata, which are new records for Poland. Paracoenogonimus ovatus, Diplostomum spathaceum, D. pseudospathaceum and Pygidiopsis genata are reported for the first time from G. stellata. The hosts, localization, geographical distribution and (for some) morphological data are given and the intestinal distribution of the trematodes is analyzed.
