Fireblight in Israel - 1985. Observations and recommendations.

Abstract

Attacks of Erwinia amylovora, primarily on pear, were observed for the 1st time in Israel in 1985. The pathogen was also isolated from apple and Cotoneaster. The disease was widespread, but overall damage was limited. Occurrence, severity and distribution are discussed in relation to environmental conditions and horticultural practices.
