Abstract

Leafminers (Diptera: Agromyzidae) on vegetables in Indiana.

Abstract

The control of Liriomyza sativae and L. trifolii on vegetables in Indiana is discussed. These include direct sowing and the use of self-grown as opposed to imported transplants and chemical control. Damage to field vegetables has been reduced by the judicious choice of insecticides, their frequency of application and various cultural practices.
