Invasive Species Compendium

Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Distributions for two holarctic weevils which are new household pests (Coleoptera: Curculionidae).

Abstract

Barypeithes pellucidus and Brachysomus echinatus have been collected separately or together from homes in Minnesota and Montana where they have annoyed occupants simply by their presence. Distributions in North America for both species are given, including a postglacial fossil record for Barypeithes pellucidus, a curculionid previously considered to have been introduced from Europe.
