Abstract

Control of Carposina sasakii Matsumura with cypermethrin.

Abstract

Cypermethrin was tested in field trials and a large scale demonstration in Liaoning, China, in 1980-1982, for the control of Carposina sasakii on fruit. Five days after application there was 65.1-91.5% mortality of eggs at 25-100 p.p.m. and 97.6 and 100% mortality of neonate larvae at 25 and 50 p.p.m., respectively. Damage to fruit was 2.6% after 2 applications of 10% cypermethrin compared to 8.3% after 3 applications of 50% parathion.
