Abstract

The most important sugarcane diseases include pineapple disease [Ceratocystis paradoxa], yellow spot [Mycovellosiella koepkei], smut [Ustilago scitaminea], eyespot [Drechslera sacchari] and an unidentified leaf scorch disease. The presence of ratoon stunting disease was confirmed by phase contrast microscopy.
