Abstract

Rate evaluation of DPX-Y6202 following metribuzin in white potato.

Abstract

In field trials in Presque Isle, Maine in 1985, potatoes cv. Katahdin were treated with a pre-em. application of 0.28 kg metribuzin/ha followed by early post-em. applications of 0.07-0.18 kg DPX-Y6202 [quizalofop] alone or by further metribuzin applications 3 days prior to DPX-Y6202 treatments. All rates of DPX-Y6202 controlled Agropyron repens [Elymus repens] and improved the control of Echinochloa crus-galli suppressed by metribuzin. Broadleaved weeds were effectively controlled by metribuzin. No crop phytotoxic symptoms were evident.
