Insects and diseases of Alaskan forests.
This is a revised edition of a book that was first published in 1980. After a short introduction, a key to the major groups of forest insects and diseases of Alaska is presented. These lead to keys to groups of pests and diseases (such as forest defoliators; sap-sucking insects and mites; bark beetles; wood borers; cone and seed insects; insect pests of wood products; bud and shoot insects; diseases; decays; abiotic disorders and diseases of unknown causes). For each of about 50 kinds of arthropods and about 45 diseases and disorders, loose-bound leaflets are provided, illustrated with colour photographs and with notes on damage, distribution, recognition and biology.
