Abstract

Studies on the control of tung oil tree geometrid Buzura suppressaria (Lep.: Geometridae) by Trichogramma dendrolimi (Hymen.: Trichogrammatidae).

Abstract

The results of preliminary studies on the control of Buzura suppressaria, a pest of tung in China, using Trichogramma dendrolimi are presented. Rates of egg parasitism in the range 50-100% were obtained in the laboratory; in field trials conducted in 1982 in a forest of tung in Zhejiang, a mean of 21.7% egg parasitism was obtained.
