Abstract

Relative toxicity of some insecticides to the second instar larvae of Lymantria obfuscata Walker.

Abstract

The toxicity of 18 insecticides to 2nd-instar larvae of the fruit and forest pest Lymantria obfuscata was evaluated in the laboratory by releasing larvae into petri dishes containing treated willow petioles. The LD50s of the most toxic insecticides were 0.00495 [p.p.m.] for mevinphos, 0.00665 for parathion, 0.00909 for monocrotophos, 0.01341 for phosphamidon and 0.01976 for endosulfan.
