Abstract

Notes on Chalcidoidea of Turkey. I. Chalicididae, Eurytomidae, Torymidae, Ormyridae, Perilampidae, Eucharitidae.

Abstract

An annotated list is given of 33 species in 6 families of chalcidoid parasites from Turkey, which were reared mainly from their hosts or from the food-plant infested by them, and of which 17 species are new to Turkey. Many of the hosts or their food-plants were of economic importance, especially lucerne from which 8 chalcidoid species were swept and most recorded for the first time in Turkey; oak [Quercus], on which 4 species were reared from cynipid galls; and Rosa spp., on which 4 further chalcidoid species were reared either from pupae of Archips rosanus or from galls made by Diplolepis rosae or cynipids.
