Abstract

Characteristics of the morphology, development and biology of the pre-adult stages of two species of the genus Eurytoma Ill (Hymenoptera, Eurytomidae) - secondary parasites of Lepidoptera.

Abstract

The morphology, development and biology of the pre-adult stages of Eurytoma verticillata and E. goidanichi, which are hyperparasites of Lepidoptera, are described on the basis of a study carried out in the Dnieper Lowland, USSR, in 1982. E. verticillata, the more abundant of the 2 species, was reared from cocoons of Apanteles porthetriae and Meteorus pulchricornis in a focus of the gypsy moth [Lymantria dispar].
