Abstract

The disease, caused by Neovossia [Tilletia] indica, has become one of the most important on wheat in northern and central India. During quarantine inspection in New Delhi infected seed samples were intercepted from various countries, particularly Mexico, but also from Lebanon, Syria, Sweden and Turkey.
