Abstract

An acute outbreak of C. equi infection resulting in oedematous swelling of the face, snout and neck is reported in piglets in a 200 pig herd. Dribbling of saliva from the mouth was observed. PM examination showed acute abscesses in the oral cavity and in the submaxillary and cervical lymph nodes.
