Abstract

Glyphosate tank mixtures in nurseries and Christmas trees.

Abstract

In several tests in North Carolina, glyphosate at 3 lb/ac gave adequate control of most weeds in field nursery transplants and Christmas tree plantations, while very satisfactory results were obtained in most cases with oryzalin and simazine each at 2-3 lb/ac in tank mixtures with glyphosate. An additional application of glyphosate was sometimes necessary for satisfactory control of woolly croton [Croton capitatus], horsenettle [Solanum carolinense], Bermuda grass [Cynodon dactylon], trumpet creeper [Campsis radicans] and Rubus sp.
