Crabgrass and poorjoe control in commercial tomato production.
Four wk after application, napropamide at 4.48 kg/ha incorporated pre-planting + metribuzin at 0.56 kg ot [= surface applied?] gave 100% control of Digitaria sanguinalis in tomatoes, while metribuzin + trifluralin each at 0.56 kg incorporated pre-planting provided 90% control. Only napropamide + metribuzin was effective against Diodia teres (78% control). At 5 wk, a post-em. directed application of metribuzin at 0.56 kg/ha gave 92% control of both D. sanguinalis and Diodia teres. The crop tolerated all these treatments.
