Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Aphid parasitoids from Bangladesh (Hymenoptera: Aphidiidae).

Abstract

The parasitic aphidiid Trioxys greenideae sp.n. is described from an adult female reared from Greenidea formosana (Maki) collected on guava in Bangladesh in 1981. In addition, the original description of Archaphidius greenideae Stary & Schlinger (based on a specimen from G. ficicola Tak. in Taiwan) is supplemented with information based on a specimen reared from G. formosana on guava in Bangladesh. The survey in Bangladesh in 1981 also resulted in the following new host records: Lipolexis scutellaris Mackauer reared from Toxoptera odinae (v.d. Goot); and Trioxys indicus Subba Rao & Sharma reared from Hysteroneura setariae (Thos.) on Gramineae, Myzus persicae (Sulz.) on Brassica sp. and Toxoptera odinae on Murraya paniculata.
