Abstract

Natural enemies of Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni (Hemiptera: Diaspididae) and their seasonal prevalence.

Abstract

The natural enemies of Pseudaulacaspis pentagona (Targ.) and their seasonal prevalence were studied in a mulberry orchard in Tohoku Distrct, Japan. Of the 12 species of parasites reared, 3 (Aspidiotiphagus citrinus (Craw.), Anabrolepis lindingaspidis Tachikawa and Anicetus sp.) have not previously been recorded from this host. Ten species of predators were observed attacking the diaspidid; they included a species of Dentifibula and a species of Lestodiplosis that had not previously been recorded from Japan.
