Abstract

A new eulophid parasite of the eggs of Leptinotarsa undecimlineata (Stal) on Solanum saponaceum in Colombia is described from the adults as Edovum puttleri gen. et sp. n. It was successfully reared in the eggs of L. decemlineata (Say) in the laboratory in the USA and is envisaged as a possible biological control agent against this pest of potato.
