Bovine mycoplasmal mastitis.
The history and distribution, economic aspects, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, therapy and control of bovine mycoplasmal mastitis are reviewed. Mastitis caused by Mycoplasma bovis and M. bovigenitalium is discussed in detail, and isolation of M. bovis from milk is described. M. canadense, Mycoplasma strain ST6 and group 7, M. alkalescens, M. bovirhinis, M. arginini, Acholeplasma spp. and other mycoplasma are also mentioned.
