Abstract

The 8 species of insects reported as having been intercepted in New Zealand include Euscepes postfasciatus (Fairm.) (batatae (Waterh.)) (in a sack of kumaras), Trogoderma granarium Everts (in stored walnuts), Dacus kirki Frogg. (in apples) D. facialis Coq. and D. melanotus Coq. (in avocadoes) and Parlatoria ziziphus (Lucas) (on oranges).
