Abstract

Transmission of Pseudomonas solanacearum through tomato seeds.

Abstract

In fruiting plants inoculated through the leaf axil the incidence of the bacterium (after wilt) was high on freshly extracted, non-sterilized seeds and fruit pulp. Incidence was considerably reduced on surface-sterilized or dried seeds and the bacterium was not found in the embryo.
