The characteristics are described of Atriplex semibaccata (Australian saltbush), Corto strain, which has been selected as a ground cover for controlling erosion and for landscaping. It is drought tolerant and can be grown on areas with a soil pH of up to 8.2 and total soluble salts of 2870 p.p.m.
