Forest pathology: principles and practice in forestry.
The book combines an account of the principles of plant pathology, as they apply to forestry, with a comprehensive review of forest tree diseases as they occur in the Indian sub-continent. There is also a third smaller section on fungal attack of wood after conversion. This is a notable contribution to the regrettably sparse literature on forest pathology, particularly as it assembles, for the first time, information on Asian tree problems. The author is well qualified to write this book after a well filled and productive career devoted to forest pathology in India.
