Study of the species composition and spread of nematodes of the family Longidoridae (Nematoda: Dorylaimoidea) on vine in Bulgaria.

Abstract

Seven Xiphinema and 6 Longidorus species were wide-spread on vine in Bulgaria. X. mediterraneum was found in all regions and types of soil and L. siddiqii in the south and south-east of the country. X. index and X. italiae were spread over half the territory (X. index was not found in the Varna region). L. euonymus is recorded for the first time on vine and X. brevicolle, X. vuittenezi, X. neovuittenezi, L. siddiqii, Longidorus sp., L. elongatus, L. attenuatus, L. vineacola and L. euonymus for the first time in Bulgaria. Deformation and necrosis of the roots were observed on plants infected with L. euonymus, L. siddiqii, X. index and X. mediterraneum. [From English summary.]
