A catalogue of parasites and predators of terrestrial arthropods. Section A. Host or prey/Enemy. Volume I. Arachnida to Heteroptera. Volume II. Homoptera. Volume III. Coleoptera to Strepsiptera.
A supplement to the catalogue already noticed [cf. FA 27, 2447], covering the literature from 1938 to 1962. All terrestrial arthropods (except Crustacea) that are either hosts or prey (typically pest species, but including some non-pests) or natural enemies are included. Section A lists the pests, giving information on the natural enemies of each, and indicating those that have been used in work on biological control. A sub-title to Vol. I lists the orders included (Acari, Araneae, Opiliones, Myriapoda, Collembola, Thysanura, Orthoptera, Dermaptera, Embioptera, Isoptera, Zoraptera, Psocoptera, Thysanoptera, Heteroptera). Vol. II deals with the Cicadoidea, Psylloidea, Aphidoidea, Aleyrodoidea and Coccoidea, and Vol. III with the Coleoptera and Strepsiptera. There are indexes to specific and generic names of pest species and to the food-plants of unidentified pests.
