Abstract

The various meteorological processes and conditions necessary for the aerial passage of insects from Australia to New Zealand are described and tables of their frequency of occurrence are presented. The meteorological conditions associated with two insect invasions of New Zealand (one of them by Macrosiphum miscanthi Tak.) are considered in detail.
