Occurrence of the Indian grain aphid, Macrosiphum (Sitobion) miscanthi Takahashi on barley crop in Kulu Valley, Himachal Pradesh.

Abstract

During surveys in the Kulu Valley, Himachal Pradesh, India, in November 1970, Macrosiphum miscanthi Tak. was observed causing extensive damage to barley. The strain LSB-3 was particularly susceptible. Treatment with 5% BHC dust at a rate of 20 kg/ha controlled the aphid.
