Abstract
Symptomatically distinct strains of Tomato ringspot virus isolated from Grape and Elderberry.
Abstract
One isolate of TmRSV from grapevine (Vitis labrusca and V. vim/era) in NY induced large chlorotic lesions on inoculated leaves of lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus) and necrotic bordered ringspot on Antirrhinum. Another isolate induced large necrotic local lesions and necrotic line patterns, respectively. A 3rd isolate resembled one from Sambucus canadensis and both failed to induce symptoms on inoculated leaves on lima bean and Antirrhinum. All 3 isolates represented a single serotype of TmRSV.
