Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

The recognition of hosts of Pseudomonas solanacearum in Colombia.

Abstract

The pathogen causes heavy losses in bananas (moko disease) and tomatoes in Colombia. Various weeds were tested for susceptibility to 3 strains of the bacterium, including the strain pathogenic to bananas. Solanum caripense, S. nigrum, Brassica campestris and Datura stramonium were susceptible to this strain and Physalis peruviana was resistant.
