Abstract

Three isolates of R. [Corticium] solani [cf. 46, 1573] from rice were studied. Of 7 media used Richards' was the best for growth, which was max. at 30° C and pH 6. Urea and asparagine were the best N sources; all isolates failed to grow on thiourea and NaNO2. The antagonistic effect of Trichoderma viride on growth and sclerotial formation was noted.
