Abstract

Control of potato tuber moth.

Abstract

During the summer months of 1958 and 1959, tests were carried out with insecticides against Gnorimoschema operculella[Phthorimaea operculella] in potato stores at Patna. Parathion at 0.01% gave the best results. Mal-athion at 0.01, 0.02 and 0.05% also gave good results. It is recommended for use on potato tubers since its toxicity to mammals is lower than that of parathion. F. s.-A.M.H.
