This book contains 10 chapters on the basic principles of environmental toxicology, biogenic contaminants, ambient gases and particulates, persistent organic pollutants, fossil fuel pollutants, metallic elements, consumerism and lifestyle choices, radiation hazrads, and adaptation and living organisms. The primary objectives of this book are to provide university and college students with a general overview and understanding of: key issues in environmental toxicology; the actual or potential harm caused by pollution on human health; the existential risks for wildlife arising from anthropogenic contaminants in soil, freshwater and marine ecosystems; and knowledge of specific case studies and major contamination incidents.
