I have been working for CABI-CWA since 2014. I have experience in the field of Agriculture (Training of farmers on the Good Agricultural Practices-GAPs) and Biological Control of insect pests of cotton and papaya mealybug. I have written two research papers which were published in the Pakistan Journal of Entomology and I have established Biological Control Laboratory in SARC, PARC Karachi and Natural Enemies Field Reservoir (NEFR) at Memon Goth under the project “Phytosanitary Risk Management program in Pakistan” funded by USAID.
CABI’s centre in Pakistan coordinates our activities in Central and Western Asia. Small-scale farming here is widespread, employing a large percentage of the population in many areas. Agriculture contributes heavily towards the region’s economy and its development.
