I am an experienced researcher and research manager. My focus is on biological control and integrated pest management (IPM) of weeds and insects in both tropical and temperate regions for more than 25 years. I have undertaken field work and made visits to more than 30 countries.
Recently I have been substantially involved in international activities addressing invasive alien species as part of the Global Invasive Species Programme. I also have a significant interest and publication record in the biodiversity of tropical Lepidoptera. In my role as Chief Scientist, I will be leading on the implementation and continuing development of CABI science strategy.
