This chapter discussed the different environmental management that would minimize or prevent harm on the environment due to cattle production. Highlights focused on controlling emissions and land degradation, managing input-output balances on cattle farms, efficient fertilizing of cattle grassland, global warming and cattle production: addressing the challenges, waste management, anaerobic digestion of slurry, slurry separation, using sewage sludge on cattle farms, water use by cattle, silage effluent, contamination of the environment with weeds, environmental risks of intensive beef production, environmental toxins and antinutritive agents.
