Diagnostic imaging.

This chapter discussed guidelines on how to position an animal for diagnostic imaging such as radiography and ultrasonography. Also highlighted are topics on how common film faults occur, common digital radiology artefacts. To further aid students in developing the skills in diagnostic imaging, topics on the basic physics of ultrasound and the functional parts of an ultrasound machine as well as recognition of the normal appearance of the heart and major abdominal organs in animals were presented.
