Chapter 6 (Page no: 272)

Report on a Chinese consultancy for the bamboo company in Vietnam.

This report is from a consultancy undertaken by a team of experts from China for The Bamboo Company in Vietnam. The report consists of the experts' suggestions for The Bamboo Company in Vietnam and introductions to bamboo processing experiences in China. Further, the report provides suggestions on three aspects of the company that needed attention: the need for a sustainable supply of raw materials; the bamboo composite board processing technologies in use; and improvement of the company's production management. As details of processing techniques were discussed during the visit and the consultancy, the report does not include the details of each technology. The first two of these aspects are discussed in the sections of the report: Section A2.3 discusses technical problems in processing in more detail; and Section A2.4 provides suggestions to the company's production management. Finally, Section A2.5 explores the possible future Chinese cooperation with the company.
