Abstract

In two 20-wk laying cycle trials, filling and emptying of sperm storage sites of the turkey oviduct were studied in 200 Large White females given tandem inseminations of semen from 20 Broad Breasted Bronze and 20 Large White males . Fertility was higher (P <0.05) in females inseminated at weekly intervals than those inseminated at biweekly intervals (92.1 plus or minus 1.2 vs 86.4 plus or minus 2.4%).
