Since 1979, 74.2-81.7% of cows in the Estonian SSR have been inseminated annually with semen of progeny-tested bulls. Since 1982, 259 embryo transfers have been carried out, resulting in the birth of 25 calves. The number of high-quality embryos per donor averaged 4.4.
