Abstract

In comparative trials involving 3240 mares, a conception rate of 30% was obtained when semen was diluted in yolk-sodium bicarbonate-glucose, 41.9% when the diluent was skim milk, 31.4% when it was skim milk-glycerol, and 26% when the mares were naturally mated.
