CABI operates a number of in-house recognition schemes to recognise excellence in performance and innovation. Local managers are empowered to recognise their staff through informal methods of non-financial recognition:
Above and Beyond Awards – a cash award that rewards good work ‘above and beyond the call of duty’
CABI Innovation Award – an annual award that promotes innovation across CABI, with cash prizes towards Learning and Development/Training available for the winners
CABI Development Bursary – an annual scheme which offers the opportunity to undertake a short secondment from one CABI centre to another, by individual application and based on an assessment of the business and the personal benefits of the secondment. Recent examples include successful secondments from Ghana to Brazil, Malaysia to UK, UK to Kenya and Pakistan to Malaysia.
