Publishing Process

Between submitting a book proposal and final publication of the book, your manuscript will go through a number of different stages. Below is an overview of what you can expect during the publication process

The pre-production process

Proposal submitted by author/editor

 Proposal sent out for review by commissioning editor

 Once reviews have been received, the proposal is presented to the Books Publishing Committee

If we decide to publish, an offer is made to the author/editor

The production process

Manuscript received and prepared for production

Manuscript sent to copyeditor, then sent back to CABI, and queries dealt with

Manuscript to typesetter, proofs sent back to CABI, revisions made

Camera-ready copy is sent to CABI for final checks

The book is sent to press and is printed
