Improving lives by solving problems in agriculture and the environment

E-resources for African students

To ensure inclusive and equitable education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all (SDG 4), CABI is collaborating with the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) to provide free access to CAB Abstracts and CABI compendium. This effort is geared towards strengthening the research and learning capacity of students and academics in African tertiary institutions by providing up to date information, resources and databases in agriculture and other related subjects.

RUFORUM: Building agricultural universities’ capacity throughout Africa

Universities play an important and largely unfulfilled role in the well-being of small-scale farmers and the economic development of countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa. The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) supports universities to address this important role. Established in 2004, RUFORUM is a consortium of 46 African universities operating within 22 countries spanning the African continent.
