Summary of Invasiveness

Top of pageEstablishment of O. perditus outside its original distribution area with subsequent spread has not been observed. In the Netherlands a small population survived eight winters on a solitary imported plant in an educational garden (Vierbergen, 1994). No other infestations of the mite were found in the garden.
