Abstract

This volume is the ninth in a revision of H. Trimen's flora (originally published in 5 volumes in 1893-1900, and updated in one volume in 1931 by A. H. G. Alston) was sponsored jointly by the University of Peradiniya and the Department of Agriculture (Peradiniya), Sri Lanka, and the Smithsonian Institution, USA. It contains revisions for 16 families - Brassicaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Combretaceae, Dioscoreaceae, Elaeocarpaceae, Hydrocharitaceae, Lauraceae, Lentibulariaceae, Lythraceae, Meliaceae, Menispermaceae, Molluginaceae, Onagraceae, Sapotaceae, Sterculiaceae and Vitaceae [Vitidaceae].
