Abstract

Establishment of tree legume species for use in agricultural systems is discussed in relation to root systems, factors affecting seedling growth rates (seed treatment, site selection, inherent vigour, fertilizer application, vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizas, weeds and wildlife), and planting methods (direct sowing, planting stock, and vegetative propagation).
