Leucaena psyllid: problems and management. Proceedings of an international workshop held in Bogor, Indonesia, January 16-21, 1989.

Abstract

This workshop was co-sponsored by the Forestry/Fuelwood Research and Development (F/FRED) Project of Winrock International, the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Nitrogen Fixing Tree Association (NFTA). After a keynote address by the first editor on Leucaena psyllid (Heteropsylla cubana) problems in Asia and the Pacific, 36 papers are presented in 5 sections: (1) Country reports - 10 papers from Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam; (2) Leucaena psyllid resistance (9 papers); (3) Leucaena psyllid ecobiology (5 papers); (4) Biological control (9 papers); and (5) Other management strategies (3 papers). Recommendations from the conference, a list of participants, and a Leucaena psyllid bibliography (7 pp.) are included.
