Abstract

Psyllid resistance of leucaena species and genetic control options.

Abstract

Resistance to the leucaena psyllid, Heteropsylla cubana, has been observed in many locations. A thorough evaluation of resistance is the subject of an ongoing project of NFTA (the Nitrogen Fixing Tree Association), through the support of USAID. This paper summarizes preliminary observations from University of Hawaii nurseries on 899 accessions of 12 Leucaena spp. and several unidentified taxa.
